Continuing to Make Some Serious Progress...

 Wednesday and Friday Cody and Brian put in some hours and managed

to finish the back half of the house and trim the garage doors;

unfortunately I was at work so I didn't catch any pics:(

Saturday and Sunday were very productive also,

we had great help (as usual!) and made a BIG dent

with our siding project:)

Oh, and we finally got the LAST window in too!

Brian and I framed in the fireplace on Monday

and (above) Wednesday Brian was starting to place

cardboard which to be insulated; the Beer family showed

up to help after I left for work so as always there

was huge accomplishment.

Windows, Siding, and Garage Doors!

Wow it's been a long time since our last update;

and LOTS of changes too!

We now have windows, garage doors and

are in the proccess of siding,

check it out!

Thanks Rusty for spending the siding :)

And with nightfall at 5pm there is

need for those spotlights :(

Brandon and Brian tackled the garage doors

in 1 day, good job boys!

I'm not scared of heights (or so I thought)

but the 8th time I had to climb that ladder

with slippery boots I was a little slow going!

The Weekend's Work....

Here's what the last week has consisted of:

Wed. night Brian and Tom placed some more

bracing in the rafters....

Thursday night Brian was busy putting in all the

frames for the pocket doors.....

As you can see the stairs got a little remodel too!

Friday night Tom and Mariane helped Brian put doors in...

we now have all the deposit doors on the exterior doors;

they are temporary doors, meant for "construction"-- therefore,

they will likely get dented/worn during the process...

Saturday's BIG project was to build an Egrass Window Well

from the boulders we saved from the previous house's foundation

Here's a look at the finished product,

There was also some more framing and the last of the

sheeting went up over the little "nook"

And the front porch is all ready for soffit!

 With all the hunters surrounding our land this silly

pheasant thought our land was a safe haven;

not very bright though.....I literally had to drive

AROUND him to get by him, I think being

shot would allow him a more pleasant death!

Tuesday Night the windows arrived;

Brian, Tom, Brandon and Beans were

ready to get to get busy when I left for work.

When I checked in they had 8 windows in!

Can't wait to see the progress!!

TrIcKs and TrEaTs!!

Saturday, Sunday and Monday Brian worked on adding

his own flare to our home;

I'll leave it to your imagination!

 we also got rid of the wall and extended the stairs so we don't

have "tunnel effect" when you walk in.

And what would halloween be without some trick or treaters!?

Halloween was definitely upon us, not long after the Blaschko's

left Brian and I found ourselves in the dark with the power out

and the yard light even out:( Oh the noises that were upon us in the great outdoors.

Spooky, indeed it was but relieving when on the way home we realized

the neighbors lights were out too! guess it was a sign to call it quits for the night!
