Quite the exciting month of MAY I'd say!

Well, I've been up to no good as usual but I'll tell
you MY side of what I'm now capable of :)

I still LOVE opening the cupboards and
especially sneak the chance to get into
the ones I'm not supposed to when
mom doesn't put the child locks on fast enough!!
I love to take the dishes out and "GENTLY"
throw them on the floor, they must be
durable because I haven't broken any yet!

I've mastered the stairs--
 I go up and down
and up and down again!
I rarely fall now.....
mom's just thankful I haven't
figured out where the
 basement stairs are yet!

I love to help mommy clean, I'm good
at laundry (especially making it and taking all
the clean clothes out of the drawers:)
and I really love this vacuum cleaner!

I'm a regular ole cowboy now;
I can even ride this guy with no hands
and no feet! giddy up!

I once AGAIN got to take a ride in an airplane....
here's dad and I preparing at the airport.
Off to Auntie Nicole's wedding in Houston, TX

Take off went good but as for the rest
of the 3 hours flight....
well, mom says it was the longest flight EVER!
I'm awful mobile these days and being cramped
in those little seats just wasn't quite my style...
so mommy sat between the seats on the floor
while I played and screamed and shouted :(

I didn't mind the water in TX but the hat I
could have done without ;)

daddy helped  cousin Emme climb to the top
of this REALLY big waterslide
and encouraged her to go down all by herself!!
YEAH EMME!

I'm Really enjoying the hat as you can see
by the expression on my face!

WEDDING DAY!

The bride is beautiful and all but these
flowers are sure fun to tear apart.

oh, and even better--
unattended beer!
Here's my chance!
It must be mine, it's on my stroller!

haha dad, got your glasses!

my dad is the best, he's always playing
games and keeping me entertained!

I found out I really like dancing!
I don't quite have moves like grandpa Beer yet
but SOMEday I will!

I started to get danced out at about 10:30,
I'd say I was a trooper!
and then I passed out!
Those beer's on my stroller must have got to me ;)

Now if only the flight TO Texas went
as smooth as the flight home....

back home I dig playing trucks with daddy...
(oh, and still thoroughly enjoy being naked!)

Here I am at 11 months of age

such a character I am ;)

I have two bottom and two front teeth, see!!

this is my GREAT grandma Marti!

Oh, and these days dad not only
has mommy back up on a roof but he's
trying to recruit me already too,
he's hoping he can teach me to be a better
forklift operator than mommy...
I think I've got it covered!

Lately since the weather decided to
finally come around I realize I LOVE to
be OUTSIDE!
In particular
I love to swing and play with
my tools on the front porch

see, now I wake up in the mornings and
the first thing on my mind is....
OUTSIDE!

Oh, and probably the most exciting thing
I've learned this month is WALKING!
Now I know I've been taking "baby" steps
for a month or two now but I've upgraded...
no more BABY steps for me,
all in a day I decided I'm a BIG BOY so
I better live up to the standards....
I make it the length of the house walking by myself,
I can even hold onto things and walk already!
So stay tuned, because I'm sure soon enough
I'll be RUNNING! oh no!

April SHOWERS......bring MAY flowers?!

So April is here, in fact it has almost come and gone....
I'm sure you'll all agree it's felt more like winter than SPRING!
but here's the latest happenings in our world...
Daddy is "officially" on his own;
that's right-- he's always been a licensed carpenter but
working full time for someone else, and well--
he decided he wants to be his own boss so
here he is on his first "official" day of being
BRIAN BEER BUILDING CONSTRUCTION!
He's got LOTS of work lined up for the year
and mommy gets nervous everytime he adds another
job to the list but daddy always just says
 "honey, it's a good thing"
Mommy is just nervous she's going to have to spend
her days off during the week helping daddy instead
of playing with me at home:(
Little does daddy know, he will NEVER be his own
"boss"-- he'll always have me and mommy to answer to;)
But we're happy for him and I can't wait
til I can throw a hammer around and be his
#1 helper!

Believe it or not I had my first
swimming pool experience at the Holiday Inn
in New Ulm for my cousin Brooke's b-day party!
I didn't LOVE it, but I didn't hate it either!
The hot tub was rather nice and my
cousins all kept me pretty entertained!

I haven't been big on "real people" food,
in fact mom can rarely coax me to put anything
in my mouth (well anything that I am SUPPOSED to!)
so she was rather amused when I decided I was
going to give these oreo things a try!

Oh, and I thought it was a rather bright
idea to "wash my trucks" with my built-in hose;
mom only had to look at the puddle I left on
the floor to decide that she didn't think
this was such a good idea after all!

I mastered the stairs in only a day or two,
yes I CAN make it to the top,
yes I HAVE fallen off,
and NO I don't know how
to get back down yet!

And now that I can get myself
just about anywhere mom often finds me
up to no good (even though I try to
convince her that I'm only "helping"!)

did I mention I'm good at washing windows?!

Oh and I'm REALLY good at helping
mommy get ready,
I even pick out her accessories for her!

I spent my first Easter with daddy at Grandma Beer's,
mommy had to work at the hospital so us boys
were up to no good together again!
Grandma even had an easter egg hunt as you can see,
and Olivia wasn't too happy when I found "her" egg.
Really I could have cared less about the egg or what
was inside of it, I just liked that when I gave it a
shake it made noise--  my favorite
toys these days are the ones that make noise
when I shake them!
For some reason the glare in this picture
makes it appear as though I have two bright
shiny front teeth but at this stage in the game they were
still working their way through my gums;
but just the past few days they've made head-way
and broken through so mommy's hoping my
"irritability and clinginess" will soon fade!

My Easter baskets were FULL of goodies...
thanks to all the Beer Women!
even with toys that daddy found entertaining!
But I found something familiar, these "cool dude shades"!
Daddy wears them ALL the time, in fact I usually steal
his off his head but now I don't have to because
I got some of my own :)

I figured I better show off some of those
smiles that I usually have on my face....
just not in front of "strangers!"

oh, and although I've learned
I can take a few steps on my own,
I have MASTERED mobility by cruising
my automobiles from one end of the house
to the other, I also get places really
fast by crawling too so mom is in
NO HURRY
for me to tackle that walking thing,
she says I'm hard enough to keep track of
the way it is!

Although we've had more snow this
month than most people care for in a year
we thought we'd show off the pretty
"room with a view"
this is outside mommy's bedroom window--
and for all those wondering-- you DO pay
extra for a room with a view :)

Here I am at 10 months old and T-R-O-U-B-L-E
my crib is one of my most favorite places
 in the world right now!
and NOT for sleeping!
(Although I do prefer to sleep in my crib and not anywhere else)
But, most mornings you can find me playing in my crib
happy as a clam.... I like my stuffed animals, my monkey that plays
music and lights up-- I even know how to work him now!
and sometimes I just like to lay willy nilly and sing/talk to myself!
And then when I get bored or I hear some commotion
I stand in the corner and cry until someone finally
decides they've had enough and comes to get me!
this is THE CORNER

and someday SOON I'll learn how to
 get myself out
if no one comes to get me:)

My latest tricks of getting places are
pulling myself up on these stools
and pushing them around to get
where I want to be!!
and mom says I'm working
my way into a true
                                                                        "Beer Belly" :)

but the view from the back-side
makes up for it;)

Mommy is trying to get me to wear these
things called "shoes"....
as you can see I despise them.
They slow me down and plus I
apparently have REALLY big/fat feet
so they don't quite fit comfortably...
but I'm learning!

And spring is FINALLY in the air,
our animal friends have slowly been returning home.
This week we've watched the deer, phaesants, turkey's,
momma and baby goslings in our pond, listened to the
frogs croak in the pond, and prayed for the poor
handsome phaesant that flew into my bedroom window
and took a fatal fall onto the front porch:(
You see, I AM really good at cleaning the windows;)
