FaLL FuN!

So as you can plainly see I'm slowly but surely
becoming a TRUE COWBOY!

I even got the Lane Frost wave down.....
melts my momma's heart!

And I'm not afraid to get on and ride....
or fall off either!

I've even got the "cowboy look" down!

Like my boots,
but don't prefer ANY hat on my head!

I've been taking a liking to daddy's work as well...
Mommy and I go visit him while he's working once in
a while just to check in or bring him lunch....
as you can see here I am "helping" daddy,
I'm really good at helping and am always EAGER
to do so and get my hands on whatever I can!
Daddy tries to be patient and show me how
to do things the "right way" but I try
to tell him that I already know what I'm doing!
Just let me at it!

The doctor's were concerned about my
"large head" so we had to do some testing
to make sure everything is intact....
the good news is- IT IS!
My head and brain are a well functioning unit!
The sad news is I had to be put to sleep twice
and have lots of silly tests done just to prove it:(

Daddy is my main man these days,
I don't let him outta my sight when I see him.
Him and I are pals, we do EVERYthing together!
It makes mommy both happy and sad to see
how attached I am to my "papa"!
I call both daddy and my grandpa's "papa"
just because it's easier but I say it
LOUD and CLEAR
whenever one of them is in sight!
"papa, papa, papa"

Mommy thinks sometimes I try to tease
her with my love for daddy...
when she's watching I make sure to give him
extra special love and attention
and daddy is ALWAYS gauranteed a kiss
from me & he usually has
to talk me into giving mommy
one too so she doesn't feel left out.

So it's obvious I have no fears
(or I haven't fallen hard enough yet).
It's definitely not unusual to find me climbing
atop a 10 foot ladder,
in fact I prefer the ladder even when
stairs are accessible if given the choice.
I'm destined to be a carpenter just like daddy!
aaaaaaaw, daddy wasn't home so mommy
was second best :)

monkey see, monkey do

I tend to prefer these large animals over little ones,
I don't particularly care for cuddly kitties,
in fact, I prefer something more challenging
that I can get on and ride!

Thanks to Beans I got to experience
the harvest season to the fullest!
This nice rig had plenty of room
for Beans, daddy, AND me!
There was even room to play!

Being a passenger on any tractor ride is great,
But if given the choice I still prefer to
be in control so I'll choose the driver's seat anytime!

I've been picking up on more
 habits from my cousins lately,
I'm loving treats...
especially suckers!
I now go into the pantry and grab
something off the shelf that looks good
and bring it to daddy....
I've even learned that when he tells me
to put it away and bring another one
back, he's so surprised I listen so well
that he usually gives in until I have
one of everything :)
OUTSIDE is my ABSOLUTE favorite,
I can't get enough of playing outside!
By far my favorite things to do outside
are still to ride and drive but I'm
learning to get on things that I can
manipulate myself, and believe me...
I make it loud and clear that I
DON'T need anyone's help!
I can do it MYSELF!
"Get on your bike and Ride!"

The "deer" days of summer!

So here's the latest......
bet you can't guess what my favorite food still is....

                         NOODLES of coarse!!
You know that saying, "you are what you eat"....
well it looks like I'm turning into one big spaghettio!!
So who would have guessed that boys like
clothes too (I thought that was a girl thing!)
Well, I don't necessarily like WEARING them,
I just like to dig in all my drawers and pull them
ALL out and sprew them across the floor,
sometimes I even think its fun to hide them
where my stinky diapers go and watch mom
pick them out of there as she holds her breath!

Well the shirt says it all....
The Ladies Love ME!
especially mommy, she just can't get enough of me!
Even when I'm "mischiveous".
This gate used to be purposeful UNTIL
I learned how to open it all by myself!
Now it's yet another game to open and close and climb!

This is a rare sight.....
Mommy can't usually nap with me
close by, she has become SUCH a light
sleeper and doesn't feel "restful"
when she's forced to sleep so close to me.
But she tells me these are the moments she
lives for, her favorite things:
NAPS and SNUGGLING!

He don't eat MEAT,
but he sure likes the BONE!
CRAZY! can't get this kid to eat
any kind of meat yet (hmmm....wonder
where he acquired that habit?!)
but yet he decides he wants to knaw
on my porkchop bone a while:)

And if you Brecken takes off on you
he's certainly headed in one direction
that is quite predictable by now....
to the LAWN mower!
Now all he's missing is his daddy, or as
he calls him "papa"!
There's not one mowing that hasn't
been completed by TWO Beer Boys!

And here's the day I went from
a baby to a BIG BOY!
mommy and I both needed haircut's,
thanks Amanda for the new do's!

                                      This is my perch upon
which you can find my every morning
because the deer come to our backyard
almost like clockwork to eat between 6-7am.
Last year when mommy just had me there was a
mommy deer and her baby that hung around, so its
rather fitting that this year there's a mommy
and TWO baby deer that come to play each morning!!

This year I got to learn what
the "fair" is all about! Mommy was
hesitant to put me on a ride, not knowing
if I'd like it or not but it didn't take long for
everyone around me to realize I LOVE rides!
The screaming started only once the ride
came to a halt and I knew I'd soon be
torn from the beloved driver's seat!
p.s.- that's my cool cousin Porter sitting next to me:)
Although I much prefer to drive and
actually MOVE and hear the motor run,
sitting on any cool tractor always wins
                                              my heart over too.
Lucky little boy being
 entertained by my cousins....
learning ALL about TROUBLE
with these guys;)

Weddings are a family affair,
and boy don't we clean up nice?!

Ahhhhhh, my new favorite spot
to sleep. I'm officially a "couch potato"!

Watch me GROW!

I'm still a good helper,
I especially like to help mom sweep the floor
but I get a little nervous when the vaccuum
comes out and it's a game for me to run
away from it as soon as mommy turns it on!
Oh, did I mention I'm A LOT better
at MAKING the messes than I
am cleaning them up?!

At this stage of the game I've got this
"riding harley" gig down; I can even mount
and dismount all by myself!
I'm so daring I even climb up on it and
STAND on the seat....
a few minor falls so far but
nothing worth bragging about!

Note: 2 important things in hand
1. my blankie, mommy calls me Linus
because I don't go too far without
dragging a blankie with me!
2. The remote control, I get full reign
on this thing 100% of the time, it's really
fun to push the buttons and change
the channels, I'm in charge!

hmmmm, mommy's trying to teach me
about "hygiene", now what do you think she
expects me to do with this thing?!

My cousin Emme got to come babysit me
one night so mommy and daddy could have a
"date night!"
As you can see, I'm working hard on keeping up
to my cousins, I'm growing big and tall so
I can join in all the big kid fun!
PS, mommy and daddy sure enjoyed their night out-
thanks Emme and Abby!

I'm "in training" to work for Uncle Brandon
at Beer Oil and Tire.
However, on this particular day the wind
was blowing my tupe and I look
more like Tommy Boy than
I do a serviceman....

so let's keep practicing,
"at your service!"
This looks a little more natural!

One of my new favorite places to hang out
is Brandon and Abby's farm;
they have EVERYTHING there
from cows, to goats, to chickens, to cats, to horses!
I'm not very fond of the chickens,
but I do like to play in the barn and
with my cousins!

And here you see me being chauffered around
by Emme! I don't quite know how to drive
by myself yet (although I'm not far from learning)
so she's always nice enough to give me a ride!

I like to play outside;
mommy says we look like a
 'bunch of hicks'
because our front porch is covered
in toys and that's all you see is bright
shiny colors when you pull in our driveway!
But it amuses me and I could spend hours
playing outside.

Here I am picking on daddy;
I try to steal his sunglasses from him,
however-- I don't like to wear them
myself! I also LOVE to play with his
phone, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to
show him all the capabilities of his
iphone real soon as I play with it
more than he does!

1 year!

Me and my cousins got to
have a picnic on the front porch!
This is mommy's clever way of
enticing me to eat real people food;
at daycare I eat everything the other kids
do but at home when it's just mommy
and me, it's like pulling teeth to get
me to willing eat real food!
You know how the saying goes...
monkey see, monkey do
I wanted to eat with the big kids
so real food it is today!

sometimes when I stay up too late
at night I hit a point where I get the
silly funnies;
I don't get crabby/tired,
instead I get ambitious and
run around the kitchen laughing!
It's not a bad trait, but it usually
only comes out at night time,
I'm definitely not much of a morning person!

Recently my auntie Sarah moved to
a new house, when I come to play
this is my new favorite task...
re-organizing the pantry!
first I take everything out, then
put things on random shelves,
and if she's lucky it all ends back
up in there somewhere!!
And my pal Sandy is a good helper
too, we get along great so wherever
I am, you're sure to find Sandy!

Auntie Sarah took me to
The Lloyds' Cabin so I could
take my very first pontoon ride!
I didn't mind it, but I really didn't
care to be stuck in that big ole lifejacket
the whole time and I'd much prefer to
run around, drive, or push buttons
rather than sit still and "enjoy the ride!"

Family Pictures,
Brecken=1 year!

Oh, do you see the crazed look
in my eyes when I got to do some
serious driving?!
Mom had no idea how entertained
I could be in an arcade at this age,
and better yet she didn't even have
to put quarters in the machine
to amuse me!

My favorite thing is driving.
Whether it be the 4-wheeler, gator,
big jake, lawn mower, tractor, or the
best yet- mommy's car....
I could spend HOURS behind the wheel!

Daddy doesn't get to mow the lawn
without me in tote, I typically sit
really well and am happy/content
just riding along, in this particular case
it must have wore me right out!

mommy's taken me swimming a few
times this summer- to the city pool and
some water parks. However, I could
really care less for the water, I mainly
like to just wander around and check
things out! Curious soul I am!

The one sure thing mommy's
learned I can't turn down is
NOODLES!
I just LOVE 'em!
Can't get enough!

I also like swinging and
stroller rides, basically
anything in the great outdoors
keeps me entertained!

We haven't quite reached the
stage of potty training, but I thought
I'd surprise Great Auntie Ruth
and leave her little present!
