The latest tasks....

Wednesday Oct 26 The Beer Crew worked on putting up
nailers for the sheetrock in the stairwell and bracing the
rafters in the garage and great room

Thursday our culvert's were placed and eventually our driveway will get
built up 3-4 feet! So hopefully no flooding this spring!

This view looks so different now that it's not packed full of materials....

Thursday night we finished the framing on the windows and put blocks around them
Whenever I take a picture of Mariane it turns out blurry
because she's moving so fast all the time, I can't seem to
catch her standing still!

Beans and Brian working in unison!

This week friday was the first Friday I wasn't there to help Brian work on the house:(
It's my weekend to work at the hospital so I get to just come home and observe
the progress! We decided to frame a section over the porch so that our window
on the front gable actually serves a purpose and will let some light through....

The great room windows are finally framed in and the last wall is tyvek'd!

All buttoned up!

Catching back up starting on Friday Oct 21.....

Dan our plumber man and his sidekick started laying pipe today!!

I'm hoping this is the last day of hanging out on the roof!

Lately I've been working night shift on Thursday's and
come straight to the house when I get off work Friday morning;
so I catch my "cat naps" when Brian is working on
something that doesn't involve my help,
the roof is my favorite place to sleep when the
sun is out because it's toasty warm!

This side of the roof above the garage is the LAST for us to finish....
 YEAH!!!

Here's where glue on our shoes would come in handy!
This is a 12/12 pitch we're papering.....
but doing in happily because its the LAST SIDE!!

And this is our fury little friend that comes to visit us almost every day....
she usually can be found eating the green grass where the "swamp" once was
but today she took a new route!

It's getting dark but he's determined to finish this side today.....
And HE DID!

This was Wed and Thurs evening's project:
stairs into the house from the main garage and a closet too!

Saturday morning the crew is hard at it......
And we might as well call Tom the "fix it man" because he's constantly
fixing anything and everything that could use fixing......
hopefully someday soon there won't be anything that needs it!
Brian and Dave are applying the eyebrow to the garage which is a
hand framed roof that separates the lower level of the house from the
upper level of the house: it's just for looks!
but it adds a lot!

Time out for lunch break; enjoying a delicious lunch prepared by Mariane :)

Beans and Tiffy stopped out to offer some helping hands and watchful eyes ;)
Tiffy made sure Beans was doing his job right!

Here's the electrician in the family (Brandon) with some assistance from Beans
hanging our very first chandelier :)
Good work boys; it didn't look easy.
But it sure gives off a romantic glow!!

Sunday Dad and Brian started the morning off sheeting and framing the front gable end.
And Mariane's always there to clean up after us!
Yes, we truly are WORKING under there;)

And Sunday ends with the boys finishing the sheeting in the back of the house

 All buttoned up!

Monday night Lacey came to help! And a great help she was!
She's even teaching me a thing or two!

I think she ate her wheaties today because that board is as big as her!

Tuesday's project was framing up the last set of stairs
from the garage to the basement....
but first a glance from the outside....

The windows of the great room will go back to a triangular shape,
they are just taking on this look temporarily!

After the stairs were complete we called it a night!
